Grand Canal Square

 

The internationally renowned architect Daniel Libeskind on behalf of property developers Chartered Land designed a new theatre and two superb new office buildings at Dublin's Grand Canal Square.

 

The theatre is situated at the center of a complex of luxury office suites, all arranged around the Martha Schwartz-designed Square. The water feature splits into two large triangle features of approximately 70 sq. meter, each.

 

A total number of 264 unique polygonal pieces form the two sloppy fountains. Surface elaboration included a mixture of polished, honed, bush-hammered, grooved and brushed antique at various thicknesses. Split-face elaboration was used for the wall-cladding of the water features.
